501(c)3 nonprofit Mission Statement To provide guidance, scholarships and or grants to individuals regardless of race, age, ethnicity, gender, orientation status or financial ability for the purpose of higher education or technical or trade training to include tools, materials, tuition, fees and support funding. Statement of Purpose • Guidance: Assist individuals with the process of finding and applying for scholarships and grants for their educational or trade training needs. • Scholarships: Providing financial resources for tuition or funding for education or trade training to include tuition, fees, book costs and the costs of required or necessary tools or supplies. • Grants: Provide funding needed outside of what scholarships cover to aid the individual in succeeding in their education or training goals. We very much believe in financial literacy and support debt free styles of this education. A part of being in our program is going though a form of financial literacy training or education. We will connect individuals with the program that best suits their current situation and location. We also believe in "teaching people to fish" and that things given for free are valued at nothing. This principle flows through our program by working with individuals to find and apply for scholarships and grants as well as matching funds saved as our way of funding scholarships and grants. While we are not going to do it for the client, we will be with them every step of the way to reduce the stress of this process. We understand that the process of finding and applying for scholarships and grants is overwhelming and a little bit terrifying as well as fraught with feelings of inadequacy and fear. This can lead to hopelessness for those applying and we will stand beside you to help alleviate this stress.
