About School of Systems and Complexity
We live in feedback loops and surprise, yet most training still hands out linear recipes. We were built to flip that script. Who we are A small, unorthodox school based in Porto, Portugal—working wherever complexity shows up: design rooms, factory floors, boardrooms, post-crisis field sites. Roots back to a 2016 stint at Schumacher College; influences from tango, crew resource management and all the great systems thinkers. What we do (no autopilot slide decks) Transformative, in-person learning blocks you can book or mix: Followership in Motion – tango footwork + cockpit drills to lead by sensing and supporting. (1 day) Complexity Starter Kit – Cynefin, stigmergy, network science—use it Monday. (2 days) Facilitation Essentials – core moves to hold a room when things get messy. (½ day) Mapping the Mess – build a live Kumu system/network map before you leave. (1 day) Art for Insight – clay, ink, movement to unstick analytical teams. (½ day or series) Farm Alignment Retreat – one off-grid day of walking talks, barn sessions, shared meals. Safe-to-Fail Sprint – design & run micro-experiments inside your org. (2 days) Coaching & Mentoring – ongoing sparring for individuals or small teams. Need more? We co-craft longer journeys—retreat + facilitation + field prototypes—when the challenge is truly wicked.
