About School Wise Press / K12 Measures
Since 1995, School Wise Press has been helping education leaders build data into compelling evidence so they can tell their schools' and districts' stories. We do this by bringing together exceptional people who know how to turn data into visible evidence, and then turn that evidence into stories. Since 2015, we've been teaching education leaders how to measure more wisely through workshops and courses. In California and Missouri, we have helped over 240 school districts meet the rising standard for transparency in this accountability era. We have done this by: * enabling them to see where their schools stand, within comparative contexts that are meaningful; * bringing schools' and districts' vital signs to visible form; * helping principals explain their accountability results and test scores with greater confidence; * enabling educators to make more informed decisions by raising the quality of their data dialogues; * providing assessment expertise to school and district leaders, through our Owl Corps consultancy; * leading workshops and courses, with veteran professional development partners, using curricula we created specifically to bring measurement expertise to practitioners. Our clients' successes include creating smarter plans, and building stronger bridges of trust to the public they serve -- leading to increased enrollment, passage of parcel tax measures, and stronger parent engagement.
