About Science For Change
Science For Change is a knowledge-based social enterprise born from the will to tackle socio-environmental and health challenges through citizen science, participatory strategies and co-creation. We are an innovative company expert in collaborative research, evidence-informed policies and quality science communication. SFC develops user-centred, innovative services and products to facilitate social innovation and a positive impact in society. We have developed a highly inclusive and replicable methodology to generate new data sets to boost social transformation. We seek a change of paradigm that allows the democratization of science through real, active and inclusive participation of society in the generation of knowledge. We apply a holistic vision of co-design to all the projects in which we are involved. We have extensive experience in the application of innovative participatory methodologies in different knowledge fields: environmental issues, health, IT services, science education, quality science communication and art. Collaborative research is a key component of our unique methodologies for stakeholder engagement (citizens, public authorities and policymakers, industries, academia, educational or media sector), to promote dialogue, increase transparency, and co-design solutions that are relevant to all the stakeholders involved. As a result, the empowered communities participate in decision-making processes and the generated data and co-created solutions can inform public policies. The company works at local, national, European and global levels coordinating and participating in different citizen science and research and innovation projects (H2020, HE, FECYT, NEOTEC…). Our business model involves bringing the innovation to the market. We offer a wide range of services, applicable to all branches of knowledge; co-design services, trainings or services that facilitate the connection between science and politics to maximize the impact of the projects.
