Scoremusic has developed an innovative paper-free account-based cloud service for professional use that connects publishers and musicians all over the world, creating a marketplace for digital sheet music rentals and sales. The functionality of the software – an iPad APP for reading and annotating – is available for free at App Store. Scoremusic also has a web interface (app.scoremusic.me) for score management, via which sheet music in any groups, such as orchestras, choirs and ensembles, is handled centrally by a librarian. Thanks to the cloud service, all the annotations inserted by musicians are automatically saved, shared and synched within the group online in real time. Customers who rent sheet music via the Scoremusic marketplace can access the digital files during the rental period only. All the annotations will be stored separately in the cloud for future reference should the customer need the annotated music a second time.
