About Scott & Scott Architects
Susan and David Scott established their architecture and design practice in 2012 after twelve years in the offices of prominent west coast architectural firms. Our experience has been on projects varied in scale and location with a focus on contemporary public buildings and private residences where specific requirements and site logistics have required technically rigorous design strategies. Projects completed by both partners have been recognized through international publication and awards. The manner in which buildings and objects are constructed is essential to how we design. Our aim is to complete projects where we can be personally involved in all aspect of the design and construction process. Our practice includes a workshop for the completion of industrial design, prototyping and material research. We approach each project with the goal of creating the most effective design and construction process to execute each project to the greatest level of quality. Where appropriate we will complete the construction ourselves in order to ensure that the end result is as desired. Our work has been completed in all areas: remote, rural and urban. We appreciate working in dense urban sites as well as challenging and sensitive geographic situations where environmental factors demand highly considered solutions.
