About SCPAC - South Carolina Professional Appraisers Coalition

Our Mission is to: PROMOTE the interests of the real estate appraisal profession in the legislative, regulatory and judicial branches of South Carolina government. PROTECT the public interest by educating appraisers, consumers, and decision-makers about real estate appraisal issues. PROVIDE a centralized resource for information of interest to professional real estate appraisers and those affiliated with the profession. CREATE opportunities for SCPAC members to share their leadership, insight, and experience with all real estate appraisers and related organizations for the mutual benefit of the profession. SCPAC is a grass roots organization which is run entirely by volunteers who are working appraisers in the State of South Carolina. We have two full membership meetings each year, one in the Spring and one in the Fall. Our speakers have included industry experts from all over the nation and we typically offer continuing education classes at drastically reduced rates for our members during the conferences. As a member, you will also have access to any of our six local chapters which meet on a monthly basis. The South Carolina Professional Appraisers Coalition played an integral part in the drafting and introduction of AMC Legislation and Regulation for our state, SC House Bill 3717. We have partnered with the Appraisal Institute to hire a lobbyist to help see that this legislation gets signed into law.
