Scriptor Software is a radiologist-owned software development company formed in August 2013 in order to facilitate the creation of high-quality radiology reports through the use of innovative software. "rScriptor", our radiology reporting software creates structured or narrative radiology reports from disorganized dictations. rScriptor communicates with virtually any dictation/word processing application including Powerscribe, Dragon dictation and Microsoft Word. Millions of high-quality radiology reports are created by rScriptor worldwide each year. rScriptor is continually updated to reflect changes in ICD-10, Medicare, third-party payer, JAHCO and MIPS requirements to ensure compliance and maximize reimbursement. rScriptor contains hundreds of radiology report templates which are easily modified and ready for use. rScriptor increases productivity by writing the subjective portion of the report for the radiologist and eliminating much of the redundancy in radiology dictations. Eyes are on the images at all times. Measured productivity gains are between 16 and 32% when compared to radiologists who were not using rScriptor in the same radiology practice. Active error checking effectively eliminates common errors due to gender, laterality and upper versus lower extremity descriptions. Reports are checked for completeness (missing anatomy). If a critical finding is discovered in a report a message is displayed to the radiologist suggesting direct communication with the referring physician.
