Seafarers, Inc. is a Miami based processor, importer, and marketer of high quality fresh and frozen seafood. Since its establishment in 1999, the Seafarers brand has become highly recognizable due to its vastly diversified product line. The company currently deals with over thirty four different species in both fresh and frozen form, most notably Tuna, Snapper, Grouper, Mahi, Swordfish, Corvina, Atlantic Salmon, and Crab Meat. An extensive distribution network consisting of wholesalers, food service distributors, and restaurant and retail chains, covers the United States, Canada, Caribbean Islands, and Central and South America. Following the core values, Truthful to Quality and Committed to Sustainability, Seafarers Inc. has developed strong relationships with customers and suppliers, both domestically and abroad. The company has been at the forefront of sustainable fishing, and has established the following Fishery Improvement Projects (FIP): 1) Yucatan Peninsula, Mexico for all Grouper Species 2) Yucatan Peninsula, Mexico for Red Snapper 3) Suriname for Caribbean Red Snapper. Seafarers is also a participating member of the following sustainability initiatives: 1) Sustainable Fisheries Partnership Americas Snapper and Grouper Round Table 2) Sustainable Fisheries Partnership Global Fresh and Frozen Tuna Round Table 3) WWF Vietnam Yellow Fin Tuna Fishery Improvement Project (Member) 4) Mexico Red Colaborativa de Mero y Especies Asociadas (Member) With processing plants in Mexico, Suriname, and Chile, along with partnerships in South America, Central America, and South East Asia, Seafarers is able to manage every link on their supply chain giving them a competitive advantage in both quality and pricing.
