Seapply Ltd. currently is focused on two major projects. 1) SeaweedPaddock is a mobile seaweed farm. It grow Sargassum fluitans and natans the only seaweed adapted to living its entire life in the open ocean. A mat of this seaweed is grown inside an enclosure that is made up of a floating fence. The fence has boat drones attached to it. The harvested seaweed is converted to biocrude oil that is projected to cost $30 a barrel at scale. 21% of the carbon is converted to a very long term sink netting significant carbon draw down. The potential resource is larger than world demand for transport fuels. 2) SeaweedCapture clears the ocean surface of nuisance biomass at scale and in deepwater before it can enter the near shore although it can operate there as well.
