Mission To foster global leadership through local problem solving Why? To create a more equitable world anchored by people who feel connected and concerned for one another's well being, rather than polarized; A world where differences are tolerated and even valued; A world where there is a sense of global unity and a commitment to solving societal issues together. How? encourage individual and collective action to solve problems; foster community service initiatives; inspire community members to make connections between local and global issues; develop youth into global minded leaders Programs Global Leadership Youth (GLY) Program Youth development program that teaches 5-8th grade students in underserved communities to be global leaders by: Providing students with leadership training that teaches them practical leadership skills ie problem solving, public speaking etc ; Supporting them as they identify local issues and subsequently complete service learning projects to solve those issues; Facilitating virtual global exchanges between students in the US and students abroad to broaden their perspective, encourage tolerance and foster global citizenship Global Leadership in Action Programs Programs that align with our mission to uplift underserved communities. For example, school supply give ways, park clean ups, sponsoring youth and families for the holidays, school paintings, food drives and much more!
