About Seaton Foundation

The Seaton Foundation's mission is to enhance and advance the lives and well-being of people and communities across the Northern Rivers region of New South Wales. We seek to achieve this through providing support to organisations and projects that demonstrate innovation, leadership and civic engagement initiatives. Our foundation focuses on homelessness, vulnerable youth, aged services, animal welfare, environmental conservation and cultural heritage. For the Seaton Foundation, philanthropy is a strategic decision. We make thoughtful and long-term investments in organisations or projects where we can see or measure the impact. We base our decision on the following values: Local Community - first and foremost, we are focused on improving the lives and well-being of those within the Northern Rivers region. Evidence-based and leading in their field - we seek out projects or organisations that deliver programs and services based on clear evidence or research and may be applying innovative or new initiatives. Clear outcomes and measurable impact- the board supports initiatives that provide clear outcomes and are able to demonstrate their direct (and indirect) impact. Collaboration - we want to work with and learn from others. We aim to collaborate with other philanthropic funders, as well as Non-Profit Organisations, to increase our impact. Sustainable change - we look to fund projects and organisations, where there is a clear path to sustainability - both financially and in terms of community impact.
