Cybersecurity is a concern for individuals as well as governments, organizations and businesses and it very broad and consists of many different areas to focus on. A fundamental concept in security is the CIA Triad which is Confidentiality, Integrity and Availability. Confidentiality is just making sure that only the people who should have access to information are the only ones that can access the information. Companies have a legal and moral obligation to keep personal information from being accessed by anyone that should not have access to that information. Availability is simply making sure that resources are available when someone wants to access them. DoS and DDoS are attack methods that directly pose a threat to Availability. Integrity is the accuracy of the information that is being stored and delivered. If you have ten-thousand dollars in your bank account you would not be happy to see the account displaying one hundred dollars. Confidentiality, Integrity and Availability are important security concepts to individuals, governments, organizations and businesses. There are many solutions that provide protection and the most important one is mostly free, and that is information regarding security concepts. There are organizations that provide valuable information a few examples are staysafeonline.org, owasp.org, hackerone.com, bugcrowd.com and portswigger.com. There are also Blogs, Videos and Podcasts that valuable free information. There are of also paid solutions such as VPNs, Antivirus, Firewalls, End Point Protection, and Managed Security such as SOC solutions. -Jason
