About Second Chance Rescue Center

At Second Chance Rescue Center – our mission of “Speaking for animals great and Small” began when we opened our doors as a private, 501c3 non-profit humane society in Sioux Falls March 6 2006. We are proud to offer Sioux Falls and the surrounding community a place to bring animals in need, which does NOT euthanize due to space or time. In 2009, we cared for over 5,000 companion animals that have come through our doors as lost, unwanted or rescued from cruel or neglectful situations. It is only with donations by generous supporters that we may continue to provide this much needed service not only to animals, but to pet owners and residents of Sioux Falls and surrounding area.
