About Securities Society

Founded in 2014, Securities Society is a student run organization at Florida State University that recruits College of Business undergraduates with the purpose of training and educating members about financial markets across the globe. Securities Society aims to provide Florida State University students a hands-on experience in security analysis and portfolio management by teaching fundamental and technical analysis, public speaking skills, holding networking events with professionals/firms, and hosting workshops to prepare candidates for the Bloomberg Essentials certification, Securities Industry Essentials Exam, and CFA Level 1. Members learn about different careers within Finance and develop the skills needed to become successful candidates for internship and full-time opportunities in Investment Banking, Equity Research, Sales and Trading, Real Estate Finance, and Risk Management. Our organization is free, there are no membership requirements, and will always remain open to anyone interested in learning.
