About SEEDS Foundation
SEEDS Foundation (registered charity number: 1153528) was originally founded in 1994, however we did not become a registered charity until May 2012. Now based in Nottingham, England, SEEDS Foundation was originally founded to establish the Capital Public School in Azad Kashmir, Pakistan in the city of Muzaffarabad. The school now provides education from nursery age through to secondary school age and is catered to educating children from deprived socio-economic backgrounds where educational empowerment is less developed in third world countries. Due to this, the school strives to equip the students with the knowledge and skills to enable them to better themselves in society. SEEDS Foundation was also established with the aim of helping those who had been devastated or bereaved by the earthquake that hit Muzaffarabad in 2005, which tragically claimed the lives of over 80,000 innocent people. Since then SEEDS Foundation has grown and now helps disadvantaged people on a local to global scale. On a local level we work within Nottingham, primarily with residents of the Forest Fields, Berridge and Hyson Green communities offering support, education and guidance on matters such as health, wellbeing, employability and access to education. We have also run accredited educational programs including ESOL, BTECH and NVQ courses. On a global level, SEEDS Foundation still supports the Azad Kashmir community providing continuous support for the Capital Public School, sponsorship of vulnerable and orphaned children and by running projects to help the local community to develop.
