About Seismic Mechatronics BV

Seismic Mechatronics designs and builds electromagnetic seismic sources that produce high resolution images of the subsurface with e.g. a wide frequency range and very low distortion. For the last 60 years, hydraulic seismic vibrators have been used to produce those subsurface images. Seismic Mechatronics offers the next generation in vibroseis systems for seismic data acquisition. Our electric vibrators or E-vibs have features that conventional hydraulic vibrators are unable to reach: High quality broad bandwidth Extremely low frequencies (e.g. full force from 2.5Hz) Ultra low THD (non) linear and pseudo random signals Easy transport and easy handling Low transport costs, no permits or security clearances Highly repeatable Very low noise (dB) Another interesting feature of our E-vibs are the very low maintenance costs. Our vibroseis systems do not use any hydraulics. So no fluid spills. The electric vibrators are build based on a friction less design, minimizing costs and maximizing value.
