Self Defense Weapons can be anything from an assault weapon, shotgun, pepper spray, a taser weapon, a knife, baton, a self defense weapon, or even just your bare hands. The choices are clearly yours and that will be based on a multitude of your ethics, finances, and laws where you live. There are some easy choices for sure. At one level, if you are trained to defend yourself with your hands, this is the best you can do as these go with you everywhere you do. This is very much unlike the weapons we put in our hands. However, with the proper training "YOU ARE THE WEAPON". That being said some weapons are fairly simple to use and have their own capabilities. With the truth that laws are changing and how a person is perceived when they do defend themselves, the simpler the defensive weapon the better. This is why I invented the self defense weapons and the theory behind how they work. Once you learn that knowledge, many things can become an "improvised" self defense weapon; all be it, usually not nearly as capable. The choice is yours and I firmly believe that the more capability you have the better. There are certainly times, based on distance, where one weapon is preferred over another. In a perfect world weapons that can reach out and stop aggression at a distance is a good choice. However, one has to remember that all weapons have their space of use. This is why I think a defender is a perfect choice for an addition to your capability. Another great feature is that if taken away from you, it most likely won't be used against you because people don't know what it is. This in not the same for a gun or a knife. Another great aspect of the self defense weapon is they are usually very safe around children.
