About Senior Recovery Program

Welcome to Senior Recovery Program Senior Recovery Program is a nonprofit organization providing a unique and comprehensive recovery program for men and women, 50 years of age or older, who are abusing or have become dependent on alcohol or drugs. Our program provides age-specific assessment, abuse counseling, dependency treatment, social and emotional support, medication monitoring, home visits and assessments, transportation to and from our facility, and much more. Over our 37 years of experience helping seniors with alcohol and drug issues, we have seen time and time again that their successes have been significantly enhanced by going through the process with other seniors and only other seniors: A common age group enables individuals to relate better in the sharing of their present living issues and their past life experiences. Shame and guilt, which is very common in this age group, is reduced by this interaction and sharing with others their own age. Individuals are more receptive to learning and understanding when the information comes from individuals whom they consider their peers.
