Providing Education in an Inspiring Environment Our Mission At SENSES Learning Hub, our mission is to provide education and support for 11 to 16 year olds with social, emotional and/or mental health (SEMH) needs. We believe in the power of creativity, art, and outdoor experiences to engage and inspire our students. We are committed to creating a safe and inclusive learning environment that fosters personal growth and success. We are based in the inspirational grounds of the Yorkshire Sculpture Park. Students have the opportunity to achieve Arts Awards through therapeutic art and design activities; complete English & Maths Functional Skills and take part in talking therapies. Our team Our team consists of highly qualified and motivated professionals, who are all experts in their field. With many years of experience of working together in supporting young people to reach their potential, with our nurturing guidance & support. Dawn Oughtibridge, BSc(Hons), PGCE, NASENCo Director With over 20 years of experience, Dawn Oughtibridge combines her background in Textile Design and education to nurture creativity and unlock student potential. Her qualifications include a BSc in Textile Design, a PGCE in Design & Technology, and a National Award in Special Educational Needs Coordination. Dawn has held various leadership roles, including Faculty Leader and SENCo, and is committed to creating safe, supportive environments that foster resilience and academic success. John Fox, BA (Hons), MA, ACCPH Accredited Member Director John Fox brings extensive experience in pastoral and SEN roles within secondary education. With a BA in Physical Education, an MA in Education and a Level 4 Counselling for Children & Adolescents qualification, John values the profound impact of building positive relationships with young people. His approach underscores the significance of personalised support in achieving outstanding results.
