About Sensory Playground

Sensory Playground is a family-run business, putting parents and families first. As parents ourselves, we feel blessed. Our children are gorgeous, loving, and unique, and the reason you are reading this today. Behind (and before the launch of) our business was a long journey. Growing up was a challenge, and I never knew why. After a recent adult ADHD diagnosis, everything became clear. Now, instead of trying to fit square pegs into round holes, I know not all pegs are the same. All children come with their own unique personality, their own way of being - our own children have their own set of skills and talents, and it is our job to help them shape those skills and talents for the forces of good. My diagnosis has helped us understand our children and their own uniqueness so much better; finding ways to watch their hearts sing with a joy of learning and play. As the world is waking up to mental and emotional learning challenges, there is still much to be done and much to be learned. For some, it isn't easy as skipping down to your local toy store, that in itself can be a sensory overload, and so we welcome you to the online world of Sensory Playground. We want to share with you all we have learned and bring together a community of like-minded parents, friends, teachers, families, and anyone else who wants to unlock the wonders that often remain hidden behind a door that some simply need help to find the key to.
