Since 1913, the rolling hills, lightning fast greens and tight fairways lined with statuesque trees have tested the mettle of the golfing members at Sequoyah Country Club. Enriched with a diverse membership reflective of the cities of Oakland, Alameda, San Leandro, Piedmont, Berkeley and beyond, the 365 golfing members enjoy ease of play with the need for tee times only on rare occasions. They can rise to the challenge of competitive tournaments, enjoy casual play, take a dip in the pool, play tennis or lounge and play cards in the Skyroom. With sixty-five juniors participating in the golf camp each year, our youngster program is forming a talented group of stars for the future. Diners feast on the specialties of our new gourmet chef on regular dining evenings as well as lunches and during special dinners and banquets. The club offers three golf memberships (Proprietary, Young Executive and Trial) as well as a Social membership option. Founded in 1913, Sequoyah Country Club is nestled among Monterey pines and redwoods in the hills of Oakland, California. Located outside the chilling fog band that comes off the San Francisco Bay, Sequoyah has earned the title among golfers as the best kept secret in the Bay Area. The golf course is a challenging par 70 for men and par 72 for women.
