The Social Services of CGD (SSCGD) are an entity with legal personality and administrative and financial autonomy, operating in the fields of social support, culture, sports, and health. Their main goal is to contribute to the socio-economic, personal, and family improvement of Caixa Geral de Depósitos employees. The first reference to the Social Services of CGD was made on April 27, 1965, in the Official Gazette through Decree-Law 46 305. The institution was officially recognised in the Official Gazette on April 5, 1969, via Decree-Law 48 953. With nearly 60 years of history, the Social Services stand out for the quality of the services provided, aiming to offer all Members, Beneficiaries, and Users solutions that promote their well-being, regardless of their needs. OUR STRUTURE – With six health units nationwide, the Social Services are based in Lisbon, at the Campus XXI Building, offering a multidisciplinary hub that covers areas such as health, culture, and sports. OUR SERVICES: • Social Support – Our social support programmes mainly focus on the well-being of our Members and their families. We support and care for retired employees, those who are ill, in isolation, or facing other social hardships. • Health – Clinical Centres in Lisbon, Porto, Coimbra, Viseu, Leiria, and Aveiro, offering over 28 medical specialties, examinations, treatments, and a wide network of contracted providers across the country. • Culture and Sports Centre (CCDOTL) – Over 35 sports activities, both indoor and outdoor, as well as leisure activities and free time pursuits.
