SGEI is the leader in providing sustainable, high quality education and training programs, which respect our Anishinaabe language and culture, support present needs, and embrace life-long learning. Since its conception, SGEI has expanded its services to include: Secondary school (Fort Frances, Couchiching, Mitaanjigamiing, Nigigoonsiminikaaning, Seine River, Niacatchewenin, Rainy River First Nations, Lac Seul, Eagle Lake, Wabigoon, Washagamis Bay, Wauzhushk Onigum, Wabauskang, Ochiichagwebabigoinging) Adult education (Kenora, Dryden, Ignace, Pickle Lake, Sioux Lookout, Red Lake) Post-secondary education (Fort Frances, Kenora, and in First Nations communities upon request) Pre-employment training (Fort Frances, Kenora, and in First Nations communities upon request) Anishinaabe Language Curriculum (Language and cultural curriculum development for daycares and Head Start programs in Fort Frances and surrounding area. The language strategy is created in partnership with Say it First and the Rainy River District School Board and funded by the Ministry of Education.)
