About Sewtopia
Sew. Indulge. Engage. Sewtopia was inspired by the online sewing community. Sewtopia went from a big idea to a traveling creative retreat in 2014. In today's technological world we are more connected to each other than ever before. Distance no longer thwarts so many friendships that have developed between people around the world. One of the main purposes of Sewtopia is to serve as a real world meeting place for friends to come sew and indulge for a relaxing weekend. We provide retreats throughout the year where attendees can leave all the stresses of daily life behind to indulge themselves, focus on sewing projects, and get together with friends, old and new. The spring and summer event focuses on education and the fall event will be a retreat-style, an open sewing event. We envision Sewtopia to be a support system for the online sewing community. We want to cultivate knowledge and help people make real-life connections with other people in the sewing hobby.
