About Sexual Assault Support Services of Lane County (SASS)
SASS is a non-profit organization providing outreach, advocacy, and support to survivors of sexual violence and their partners, families, friends and community members throughout Eugene-Springfield and the rest of Lane County, Oregon. Our advocates listen, believe, support, accompany, offer information and referrals, and provide peer counseling to survivors of assault, past and present. We maintain a 24-hour crisis and support line and 24-hour emergency medical advocacy for survivors of sexual violence. SASS’s commitment to our core mission has been clear since our founding in 1991, but as the agency has grown and adapted over the past three decades, so too has our understanding of our place within the movement against sexual violence. SASS’s mission is to create opportunities for survivors of sexual violence and their supporters to find healing, justice, and liberation. We support people who have experienced sexual violence in any form, including intimate partner violence, family violence, sexual harassment, stalking, trafficking, and more.
