About SFU Bangladesh Students' Alliance - BSA
The Bangladesh Students’ Alliance (BSA) at Simon Fraser University is a student-led organization committed to celebrating and promoting Bangladeshi culture, heritage, and values within SFU’s vibrant multicultural environment. Our mission is to foster a strong sense of identity and belonging while encouraging intercultural understanding across the campus community. Through a diverse range of cultural events, educational programs, and social initiatives, BSA provides a welcoming and inclusive space for students of all backgrounds. We actively engage in collaborative efforts with other student clubs, cultural groups, and community organizations to strengthen intergroup connections and promote shared values. Beyond cultural programming, BSA is dedicated to service and advocacy. We regularly organize and participate in charitable initiatives, community outreach, and fundraising efforts—both locally and in support of causes in Bangladesh. These endeavors aim to empower our members to become socially responsible and community-minded leaders. By creating opportunities for meaningful engagement, mentorship, and personal growth, BSA strives to uplift our community and support students in all aspects of their university journey—academically, socially, and personally.
