About Shammah Prayer Ministries International
The ministry of SPMI is led by Founder Rev. William W. Lumry, II who serves as the President and Co-Founder Patricia Lumry who serves as the Secretary/Treasurer. The ministry has two boards. The Board of Directors, currently comprised of six people, aids in facilitating the day to day work and enhancing exposure of the ministry. It is the operational board. The second board, The Board of Overseers, is comprised of four Pastors who love the President, the city wherein we are called, the work we do, and the ministry itself. We are convinced from scripture that God works first through prayer. In 2 Chronicles 7:14 Scripture says, “If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.” Our ministry involvement includes, but is not limited to working in the City of Corpus Christi and South Texas area to promote prayer in citywide and regional inter-denominational prayer gatherings. The Purpose of SPMI is to glorify God, advance the kingdom, strengthen the church, and serve the Body of Christ. This purpose is read at each and every board meeting. It is carried out in many ways, but particularly through the support of missionaries to various countries and especially by identifying, teaching, training, empowering, and mobilizing intercessors.
