About SHAP3D Industry University Cooperative Research Center
SHAP3D is an industry-oriented center dedicated to pre-competitive research in additive manufacturing (i.e., 3D printing). Three university sites - UMass Lowell, Georgia Tech, and UConn - join their complementary faculty expertise and facilities to address the next-generation research needs of the Center's Industrial Advisory Board (IAB), consisting of 10+ industry and government organization members. The Center is the only National Science Foundation-approved IUCRC (Industry/University Cooperative Research Center) on the topic of 3D printing.
