Shape Leadership is a consortium of internationally recognised Leadership Advisors, who all share the goal to make Leadership Excellence real. Good leadership development always leads to new insights but seldom to lasting changes in certain patterns of behaviour. Why is this so? It’s because as creatures of habit, our brains tend to regard new forms of behaviour as energy sapping and in day-to-day life we prefer to reserve our energy for emergencies. The challenge as an executive leader is thus not so much concerned with understanding on an intellectual level which patterns of behaviour need to be changed, but rather in ensuring on a practical level that the changes actually happen and are established as a new routine.
