About Shappy Pretzel

From what started as an homage to his favorite hometown treat, Philly-born actor and Pretzel-maker Adam “Shappy” Shapiro has turned his socially distanced hobby into LA’s latest food craze. On August 4, 2020, a day that forever changed the lives of pretzel lovers everywhere, Adam’s wife, actress Katie Lowes, was co-hosting “Live with Kelly & Ryan” when she mentioned her husband’s pretzel obsession to host Ryan Seacrest. The next day, the first of many citywide deliveries came to Seacrest’s door. After just one bite, the man was hooked and the on-air rave reviews ensued. With that...Shappy was off to the races. Drop-offs to eager friends turned into lines of cars outside his kitchen wanting more! Within weeks, Shappy’s in-home operation moved to a professional bakery allowing Shappy to host pop-ups, cater film sets, birthday parties, office events (and even weddings!) all over Los Angeles.
