Shari B. Cohen has been practicing law in South Florida since 1989 and has extensive experience in Estate Planning, Probate and Estate and Trust Administration. After law school, Cohen handled a wide range of cases including commercial litigation, adoptions, guardianships and probate. She also spent several years as a solo practitioner. Shari was the managing attorney at a boutique trust and estates law firm in Boca Raton for almost fourteen years. Shari Cohen prepares wills, revocable and irrevocable trust agreements, including special needs trusts, powers of attorney, medical powers of attorney, "living wills," and non-judicial modification agreements and deed transfers. As part of the asset preservation planning process, she determines the solvency, evaluates the liability insurance coverage; and implements asset preservation planning techniques for the benefit of the client. Shari B. Cohen also coordinates with other professionals involved in the estate and asset preservation planning process, including accountants, life insurance professionals, financial planners, and corporate trust departments. Shari B. Cohen counsels personal representatives (executors) of the estates and assists them in the administration of estates and counsels trustees of the trusts of deceased persons. She assists in the preparation of federal estate and generation-skipping transfer tax returns, along with accountants. hari B.
