We are based in a purpose-built laboratory on the Oxford Science Park in the heart of the UK. We have been delivering technology for Sharp’s products since 1990 with our contributions including major advances for displays used in mobile phones, games consoles, laptops, tablets and cars. Sharp Laboratories of Europe also offer technology services in optical systems, electro-optics and compound semiconductor technologies to other companies. Today, we specialise in creating new technologies for next generation displays and in the development of new light-emitting devices. Our researchers include physicists, optical and electronic engineers, chemists and mathematicians who have come from across the UK, Europe and the rest of the world to join our teams. Together with our colleagues in the rest of the Sharp family, our mission is to use top-class science and engineering to enable the products of the future.
