But we were shocked by how much garbage small things like the replaceable heads of a razors cause: in Germany alone, we produce ~ 100 truckloads of waste per year (and we're talking about full-grown 40-ton trucks)! Alternatives like single edge razors and knifes have not convinced us in terms of shaving comfort, so we developed SHAVENT, a razor that combines a smooth, flexible head with the simplicity of classic razor blades. It offers elegance in design and usage, the perfect comfort of a 3-blade pivoting razor head and the independence and sustainablity of standard half-blade razor blades, instead of a binding and waste increasing blade-cartridge system. Also, SHAVENT is not an anonymous mass-product: it castings are made in an SME foundry in Germany and behind ARA there is an entrepreneurial family, instead of a big corporate.
