- Go to places where young people are trying to make decisions about how to make their way in life and provide this option to them - a safe, controlled, ethical environment in which to build the community and the future. - Use the traditional model of contracting, but for downtrodden women (and men), in need of shelter and resources. A hand UP, Not a hand OUT, for those with a CAN-DO attitude. - Those who want to learn a skill from a certified journeyman/tradesman/whatever/however can do that - we will provide the state appointed certification process (I'll have to hire for this, I don't have time to learn it and I need a pro - it's costly). - Enable meaningful work to those who are struggling by pulling up the SheBangs truck to the women's center and shouting, "Come On Girls!", and then, the girls (and boys) who want to work, and are able to work, can jump on truck and get work today because they have food, housing, medicine, and quality childcare while they are out. - Giving quality opportunities for work that come with real hours, real benefits, and are solid and dependable work for everyone, so people can use it build a real life and real wealth. - Be able to use government tax dollars. I'd like all my workers to be union so they feel like they have a real dog in the fight,. It builds trust, credibility and strength in the community if everyone feels safe at what they do. *THIS IS A LOT OF WORK AND EXPENSE RIGHT HERE, PEOPLE, so I want it to be worth it. This venture has to be able to support itself, it has to be ethical and above board, and mutually advantageous. My money comes from IT- this is a passion project, so the expense cannot outweigh benefit because I cannot support it alone, but, doing business any other way would be wrong to me. - Contracts, lawyers, designers, architects, artists, engineers, workers, volunteers etc. All above board. All work on merit. All playing fairly. All benefitting. - Ventures come together in a way everyone wins
