About SheGives

Smart Women. Smart Giving. A Philanthropic Foundation SheGives I Boston connects engaged, inquisitive and committed donors to a broad range of vetted philanthropies around Greater Boston. Our thinking is strategic and our hearts are big, but our giving style is simple, personally driven and we speak with a commanding collective voice. We launched in fall 2013. We will give grants to a wide range of charities over time, including everything from hunger, health and homelessness to the arts, animals, education and the environment. We are an eclectic group -- the women in SheGives are entrepreneurs in the arts, philanthropy, the law, healthcare, architecture, and include some of the most accomplished women in the world in the areas of medical research, biotechnology and financial services. One is a well-known chef/author/owner of popular Boston-area restaurants who also studied applied math and economics. Another is an opera singer. SheGives is an Angel Investor in Root Cause's Social Innovation Forum and a member of the Social Impact Exchange. Kirstan Barnett is the Founder and President of SheGives.
