I used to have a good life as a medical doctor but I was always mad about making clothes and I spent all my free time working on patterns and designs. Then I found that I got so much satisfaction from selling my stuff that I decided to go at it full-time. But the rag-trade is a tough industry and I never really wanted to be ‘a business person’. So I decided the best way to go was to open my own shop and sell direct. Now I have a design studio and a boutique in the heart of this lovely little village on the edge of Dublin. Working from home and having my own shop in the house means that I can produce and sell quality clothes at affordable prices. It means that I can do what I love to do and concentrate on making clothes that please me by pleasing my customers. I only ever work with good quality materials and I prefer making wearable clothes in classic and contemporary styles that are elegant, understated but subtly eye-catching, never showy or pretentious. But sometimes it takes a little decoration to pull that off and since I only want to sell my own stuff, I also make some costume jewellery and I crochet and knit my own trimmings and accessories.
