About Sheltered Reality

SR’s choreographed drumming provides fun and invigorating entertainment and it is rewarding for us as performers when audiences enjoy our music. However, there is a deeper purpose within our presentations. Music is a universal language and SR uses this opening to speak to the hearts of our audiences by way of personal stories and letters. These are not words about strangers, but of members of one human family, people that have displayed courage, commitment, and genuine concern for the welfare of others, even under trial. This process is meant to inspire all to not only become better individuals, but to take action to help others succeed in life as well. We all do have the power to make changes and to make a difference in the lives of our neighbors, and thus in the world around us. This message is what gives true Meaning to our Music
