About SHEOAK Clinical Psychology

SHEOAK Clinical Psychology endeavours to offer equitable mental health access to rural and remote communities. Initially offering Telehealth, then face-to-face from February 2022 on Eyre Peninsula, South Australia. With 15 years experience, I view the client as the expert in their recovery journey – what they want to achieve, the pace they wish to work at, the degree of input they want, and the strengths they bring to the process. Each person is different, so I see myself as walking alongside my clients, providing as much guidance as they need in each moment. This is the favourite aspect of my work – that I am always learning about people and growing in my practice. I have a range of approaches I can use and am always guided by the client’s preferences, seeking feedback at each stage and working transparently. Together we can define your goals, assess the issues, plan a treatment approach, and measure the outcomes. I enjoy working with individuals, families and couples, and can provide liaison with GPs, schools, other agencies, and carers. We all exist within a broader system and sometimes our mental health can be healed in this broader context.
