About Sheridan Shore Sailing School

Nestled within the calm Wilmette Harbor, Sheridan Shore Sailing School offers programs for beginner sailors, seasoned sailors, and anyone in between. Summer is our premier season. We offer AM and PM camps for sailors aged 8 to 18 on our fleet of prams, optis, and 420 boats. For our littlest sailors, our Sea Squirts evening program prepares them for a lifetime on the water. Additionally, our most advanced sailors compete on the Race Team, where they learn racing techniques and sophisticated boating techniques. During the spring, we offer programs for adults looking to sail for the first time or to sharpen their skills During the fall and spring we host the high school teams for Loyola Academy, Evanston Township Highschool, Beacon Academy, and Glenbrook South. Our high school athletes compete at the junior varsity and varsity levels at local and national regattas. Throughout the sailing season, we offer private lessons for adults and children. Adults lessons can be one-on-one or with a group on our J24 or J70. Youth lessons can be taught on any boat in our dinghy fleet either one-on-one or with a group.
