About SHG Engineering

SHG delivers engineering and fabrication excellence to the refrigeration, marine, oil & gas, petrochemical, critical power, renewables, and industrial sectors. Our team are subject matter experts in pressure vessels, mechanical services, pipework, coded welding, fabrication and structural steel. Our History Launched in April 2013, our family-run company rapidly became known as a leading name in the refrigeration industry and has been widely recognised for delivering high quality refrigeration installations. In 2019 we changed direction and realised our position within the refrigeration sector as a support service company working and supporting other large refrigeration contractors with its mechanical and electrical services. In 2023 we expanded our offering to meet market demand, moving into a wide range of sectors including marine, oil & gas, petrochemical, power stations and critical power, renewables, and industrial services. We invested heavily in our Birkenhead facility to provide state-of-the-art fabrication facilities with ten welding bays, external stores, a 5 tonne overhead crane, upgraded offices and additional employee welfare & office facilities - with planning and construction underway for two more 1 tonne overhead cranes to fulfil the workshop handling plan. In 2024, we rebranded as SHG Engineering Limited to reflect our new multi-sector offering.
