Shireland Collegiate Academy Trust is a growing Trust of Primary and Secondary schools in the West Midlands, founded by the three times Ofsted judged outstanding Shireland Collegiate Academy a large secondary school in Sandwell, the Trust is led by Sir Mark Grundy, our CEO. The Trust currently comprises four secondary schools and five primary schools There are two primary academies due to open in Coseley and Wednesfield in September 2024 as well as a new secondary school, Shireland CBSO Academy, opening in collaboration with the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra. Our Trust values Inspire; Innovate and Collaborate drive our vision to ensure high quality educational provision across all of the schools and to make a difference to every learner. Known for the use of technology to innovate and raise standards and also for outstanding curriculum design, the Trust aims for all learners across all settings to be immersed in knowledge and develop critical thinking and understanding skills in order to apply this knowledge in both their learning and their everyday lives. We also have strategic partnerships with education companies such as Microsoft, Whole Education, Discovery, Tute and CenturyTech. The Trust work with local, national and international figures who add expertise and guidance at every level brokering support for the schools within the Trust. Together the Trust brings a range of opportunities for the schools, their pupils and staff to engage in projects and programmes and develop skills and knowledge in a range of different aspects of education ranging from Edtech to curriculum to SEND.
