The app uses iOS region monitoring technology to allow check-in to occur AUTOMATICALLY even if the app is shutdown with your phone in your pocket. Each place in Shmeet turns into its own “Snapchat” style story. When users check-in, the camera unlocks. Capturing a picture or video takes fewer clicks than Snapchat. Uploads are completely anonymous because we want users to provide an unfiltered view of their college social scene.
