The Shoulder Sleeper Pillow, founded in 2021, addresses a gap in post-surgery comfort. Co-founder Sam Jacobsak, a former professional pitcher, faced sleep challenges during shoulder surgery recovery. His physical therapist, co-founder Mike Scaduto, identified the need for a supportive pillow. Surprisingly, no suitable product existed which lead to a year-long design journey. Prototypes were handcrafted, tested nationwide, and refined based on feedback from surgeons, therapists, and users. Design and utility patents were secured, and a manufacturing partner was found. Launching in 2023, The Shoulder Sleeper Team is dedicated to enhancing sleep for those with shoulder pain or post-surgery.
