History: Founded in 1974 in Los Angeles, California, the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers had the objective to form a national organization that would promote professional engineers as role models in the Hispanic community. Our Mission: To change lives by empowering the Hispanic community to realize its fullest potential and to impact the world through STEM awareness, access, support, and development. Our Vision: A world where Hispanics are highly valued as influential leaders, innovators, scientists, mathematicians, and engineers.
