About SHPE Texas Tech
The SHPE chapter at Texas Tech University was founded in 1993, as part of the broader network of SHPE chapters dedicated to empowering Hispanic students in STEM fields. Our Texas Tech chapter actively promotes professional development, leadership skills, and academic excellence among its members. We offer workshops, discussion panels, information sessions and much more to fully prepare our soon-to-be Engineers for the real world. Companies come to our Chapter to discuss a multitude of topics, such as how to write a winning resume, interviewing tips/techniques and what companies expect out of an entry-level Engineer.
