Our story began in 2019, when founders Penny Nichols and Joshua Schmidt, then operating as Schmidt's Home Services, set out to solve a problem they had witnessed firsthand. Joshua, after years in the industry, was frustrated by a system that overpromised high pay but underdelivered. He saw how technicians were forced to handle a full workload—from client acquisition to final billing—while only getting paid for a fraction of the time. This experience was the catalyst for change. We realized there was a better way to operate, one that prioritized a positive work environment for our team and, in turn, ensured a higher quality of service for our clients. By leveraging Penny's background in software engineering, we built a modern system to streamline the business. We've automated time-consuming processes like project cost estimation and implemented concrete, consistent, and well-documented operating procedures. This innovative approach allows us to focus on what matters most: delivering excellent service, transparent pricing, and reliable craftsmanship to every homeowner in the Port Charlotte area.
