About Siboney Cellars

Siboney Cellars (See-Bo-NAY) is located on Wine Road 290 in the beautiful Texas Hill Country wine region. Siboney is building a custom, full production winery, estate vineyard on a limestone plateau, and intimate tasting room, replete with tours and tasting experiences featuring spectacular views, just 4 miles west of Johnson City. Founders Miguel and Barbara Lecuona established Siboney in 2017. The logo signifies the brand promise, with a grapevine bud placed in the center of an architectural quatrefoil window. The window calls to mind a detail design found in missions in San Antonio, as well as atop the Cathedral of Havana, tying in the journey of the family from Cuba to Texas. The bud-burst is extracted directly from a photograph Miguel took while studying in Bordeaux - a 50 year old first growth Cabernet vine from the historic 2009 Vintage. Together, they create a motif that symbolizes the hope and promise of annual renewal, at any age. In 2019, Miguel and Barbara forged a dynamic partnership with Bill and Mary Anne Waldrip, and together, the team acquired the beautiful, terraced 52 acre site to build the winery and plant the first estate vineyard. Tastings and site tours are available on weekends under shady heritage oaks. and at the terrace vineyard while winery construction continues. Thursday evenings are special in the Summer and early fall -- Twilight Tastings are offered from 6-9PM, capturing the transition of light and the simple experience of conviviality with friends at sunset in a beautiful natural setting.
