Over the next decade, Sidre will empower 250,000 people to create sustainable futures for themselves and help cut repeat incarceration in half. What’s with the Name? Sidre, Cidre, or Cider — However you spell it, the meaning is the same: creating value where others see none. Historically, orchard harvesters chose only the best fruit for market. The bruised, broken, and damaged fruit was cast aside. Then someone saw its potential. That “worthless” fruit was transformed into something new, useful, and valuable: sidre. We carry the same belief into our work. Sidre exists to help those who have been bruised, broken, or pushed aside by society rediscover their value, build a new future, and know they are worthy of purpose and hope.
