Sierra Remote Observatories (SRO) is a world class astronomical telescope hosting facility located within the Sierra Nevada Mountains. The site has remarkable seeing and darkness conditions. We have been operation since 2007, currently hosting more than 200 telescope systems and still expanding. We host a respected, international roster of clients including institutions, corporations, and individuals. The seeing conditions at SRO are unparalleled, with better than 1 arcsecond seeing with 290 clear days/year, exceptionally dark skies (21.78 Mag/Square Arcsecond) and average wind speeds of under 1 mph. We have 1 Gbps full duplex internet with secure, redundant systems, full time surveillance and excellent support services. Access is remarkably easy for a remote site, being only 1 hour from the Fresno-Yosemite International Airport. Our clients include beginner and expert astrophotographers, astronomers, astrophysicists and other experts from universities and astronomical institutes from around the world.
